Wow is it true it will only take one day to paint a house? Painting a home in one day can sound to good to be true and sometimes it is depending on the project. For standard room repaints it is common to finish in one day. Adding more coats or more painting other than the walls such as ceilings, moldings, doors, or drywall repairs, wallpaper removal will often add more time needed to complete. Simply because standard water based products need to cure before multiple coats or adisional masking. If there is a push for time using other paints with added chemicals to cause rapid curing is an option, but typically have strong odors and are toxic and can leave VOC's in your home after the painter is finished and can make it difficult to live in the space till the VOC's clear out.
